PAL LICENSE , The online service is open to eligible Canadian residents. To be eligible to apply online you must be a first-time applicant.

Step 1: Obtain My PAL (CFSC)

The first step towards obtaining your PAL firearms licence is to complete the mandatory national safety training: The Canadian Firearms Safety Course (CFSC). At Range Arts we call it Obtain My PAL (CFSC) because completing the CFSC allows you to apply for your PAL.

The CFSC is 1-day course with our Certified Instructor. It provides theoretical and practical gun safety training. At the end of the course you’ll be tested on the knowledge and skills you acquired that day.

10 Hours of Instruction & Testing – $209.99

Step 2 (Optional): Upgrade To RPAL (CRFSC)

Those who plan to purchase and/or use Restricted firearms (for example, using handguns unsupervised) will need to complete The Canadian Restricted Firearms Safety Courses (CRFSC). Upgrade to RPAL (CRFSC) allows you to upgrade the privileges of a PAL to an RPAL.

The CRFSC is a 1-day course. It builds on the knowledge you gained in your CFSC and is, therefore, slightly shorter.

8 Hours of Instruction & Testing – $209.99*

*$169.99 if within 30 days after your CFSC. When completing this course within 30 days after your Obtain My PAL(CFSC) we will apply a $40 discount when you arrive at your course.

Booking in advance:
Securing your booking early is highly recommended. Upgrade To RPAL (CRFSC) can be booked in advance for as early as the next day after your Obtain My PAL (CFSC). We give you the flexibility to schedule the two courses separately, but feel free to take them back-to-back (sometimes called “combined courses”).
